The problem of too many options is ruining modern dating, according to Sherry Turkle, professor of the social studies of Science at MIT. Turkle explained on HuffPost Rise that dating apps provide users with thousands of potential mates, which can be paralyzing.
And since everyone is constantly swiping through new options, Turkle says, "in the world of dating, one strike and you're out."
