Standard

You're sitting at home, scrolling through your newsfeed and you couldn't be more bored with your life. Is this it?

You need a change. You want to change. Change yourself and the world. Right now, the tech industry is making a major dent in today's society. Whether that's through massive corporations or tiny startups.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." As Steve Jobs proclaim at this Stanford Speech. "Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition."

If you're looking to move to a tech city. Here's some facts to guide your intuition.

May the force be with you.

10. Minneapolis, MN

Brrr! Is the first thing that comes to most people's mind when Minnesota is brought up. This medium sized city is known for its commercial and agricultural strengths. I'm not the only one hype on Minneapolis either. Livability and the Business Journal named nearby Rochester, MN the second best city (category: small to mid-size cities) to live in, in the United States.

Minneapolis has major corporate players like: Target, Best Buy, the 3M Company, and Xcel Energy. But their private sector for tech is nothing short of impressive itself; with tech companies like: and support from a strong community like TECHdotMN. I see the future for 2016 and Minneapolis tech looks promising. Average rent: $962/mo

I ran into a friend from college a couple weeks ago. We began to catch up.

"I live in Kansas City, now!"

"Yeah, it's an amazing place to be right now. Surely exciting." She said in her British accent.

I turned to my friend after. "Did you know X lived in Kansas City?"

"Yeah, a lot of people out of college are moving there. It's a thing." He said.

When I began to research that "fact" some more, it became apparent that Kansas City is making some major innovative pushes with companies recruiting top talent right out of college.

Kansas City is an emerging location for tech companies to plant their roots in. Incubators, Accelerators, and massive support from major corporations' are fostering this region to be a major player in the game. Kansas City is being seen on all major emerging tech city lists. I flew out to San Fran for my first time last month. The happiness here is contagious. There's many article out there that speak to this. Final Words

The final part to this article needs to be actionable. Why? To make your excuses vanish. What do you need to make the move?

Many of these places are in high demand. So a roommate or two would help. If you already have a bed, clothes and a bit of furniture, a moving truck. And a laptop.

Done.
