Clearly Donald Trump has no filter, so maybe what we need is a Trump filter to filter the Trumpster off the internet. Well, at least filter him out of our browsers while we're surfing the inter-webs.
Interestingly there's a Trump Filter just for that - released as a Google Chrome extension by punk rock technologist, Rob Spectre.
With the filter on while browsing "Donald simply disappears from your view of every web page," says the download site.
You can adjust your level of Trump filtration based on how much you want to avoid the Donald.
The "mild" setting removes Trump-related headlines and Donald Trump's entire Twitter page goes blank. The more "aggressive" or "vindictive" settings may remove non-related content and news sites.
"I am doing this out of a profound sense of annoyance and patriotic duty," says Spectre, the filter's author.
In a CNN Money interview, Spectre also said he created the extension to take the spotlight off Trump and give concerned citizens the opportunity to actually focus on other candidates and learn about the issues.
There's no doubt the media has been saturated with Trump coverage after his brazen idea to ban muslims from entering the country, insulting Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals, proposing to build walls as immigration reform, as well as sexist remarks.
Even more ironically though, this filter comes after Trump's call for "closing the internet" as a means of fighting the Islamic State.
While that's nearly impossible, now shutting off The Donald may just be possible.
Everyone has the right to free speech, just doesn't mean we have to have it in our face and in our homes all the darn time.
But ya really want to silence the Trump? Make sure to vote!
